In a smashing turn of events that no one saw coming, top US Hard Enduro star Cody Webb drops Sherco and makes Yamaha his new sponsor. With the 3 Time US Hard Enduro champion doing so good on the Sherco Machine we did not see this move coming at all.
Yamaha is a great bike brand and already has a huge name in most dirt bike sports and series ran today. Including AMA Pro SMX and GNCC off-road series. However, they do not have a hard enduro bike or a hard enduro program. With the news that Cody Webb is going to join the Blu-Crew is most likely going to change this.
Webb recently made the announcement that he was joining the Blu-Crew on December 3rd, 2024. He made this announcement while riding Hard Enduro obstacles on a Yamaha 450F. Which begs the question Will the iconic dirt bike brand roll out a new hard enduro line for their bikes? Will Webb compete in these competitions using a 450F? Or will they have him using the cross-country models or even 2-stroke models? I guess all of these answers will be answered soon enough as the 2024 year comes to a wrap.
We are excited to see how the Hard Enduro star handles this adjustment to Yamaha. We are all eager and excited to see if Yamaha will be rolling out a hard enduro bike in the near future.
